More than 200 people turned out to a seminar hosted by Johnstone’s Trade where experts from Howarth Timber & Building Supplies shared their expertise in fire door safety.

Howarth Timber is one of the founding members of the British Woodworking Federation’s (BWF) Certifire Fire Door scheme. At the fire safety and protection seminar, the company’s experts delivered a comprehensive guide to the latest developments on fire door installations, and current building regulations.

The company’s speakers addressed the audience alongside representatives from the BWF.

The event brought together specifiers, architects, project managers, quantity surveyors and asset managers who came to learn about the correct methods and procedures for fire safety within buildings.

Building managers face more scrutiny over the safety of their fire doors than ever before, and Howarth Timber has been helping its customers to stay abreast of developments in building regulations in recent years.

Neale Brewster, marketing and product development manager at Howarth Timber, said: “We are proud to be industry leaders in fire door safety, and we relish the opportunity to share our expertise with customers and our friends from across the building industry.

“We encourage everyone to stay abreast of developments in fire door technology, in order to meet regulations and keep buildings safe, and our staff can provide fire door guidance and product information to suit all building types.”
