Trada appoints new man to replace Newman

Trada Technology has appointed a new manager to its site-based services. 

Dr Andy Pitman will develop the company's range of consultancy, inspection, condition surveying and training services

He has replaced Paul Newman who has left to join Kingspan.

Dr Pitman brings with him expertise in timber restoration and preservation.

Prior to his appointment, he taught wood science, wood protection and forest products marketing, as lecturer at Buckinghamshire College. He has also published 50 academic papers, chaired sessions at several international conferences and acted as an examiner for the Institute of Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing

Dr Pitman holds degrees in Biology from Portsmouth University and in Forest Industries Technology from Bangor.
