Timber firm branches out

18 April 2007

Prestoplan has moved into a new site in Gloucestershire as demand for quality timber frame buildings continues to grow.

The 95,000ft² plant will more than double the company's output within the next three years, with production up to an extra 4,000 timber frame units a year. The new site will create 100 new jobs.

Andrew Underwood, Prestoplan operations director, and also the chairman of the Health and Safety Committee of the UK Timber Frame Association said: "The new plant represents a significant investment by Prestoplan and confirms our long-term commitment to quality and innovation as timber frame becomes the way to build for the future."
