Timber federation twitters

20 May 2009

The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) has joined the illustrious company of Gordon Brown and Barack Obama on social networking site, Twitter.

The site enables people to post ‘tweets’, updating other Twitter users on their day-to-day activities. The TTF will be using this communications tool to give up-to-the-minute updates on its key activities, including meetings, events and industry developments. If you would like to know what the TTF is doing to promote the use of wood in construction and overcome challenges facing the industry, visit www.twitter.com/TimberTradeFed.

John White, TTF chief executive, said: “It is important that trade associations are responsive to their members. Being on Twitter allows member organisations to see, at a glance, exactly what we are doing on their behalf.”
