Trada heads to Dubai show

TRADA Technology and BM TRADA will be exhibiting within the Building & Construction section of the BIG 5 exhibition in Dubai from 23rd  - 27th November 2008, to promote product testing and certification.

The largest trade show for the construction industry in the Arabian Gulf, the event combines seven major exhibitions under one roof, featuring some 2,500 companies from 52 countries. More than 50,000 key buyers and decision-makers from the public and private sectors attended the 2007 event, including contractors, specifiers, architects, engineers and buyers.

The Big 5 features National Pavilions from all the major exporting countries of the world, alongside important local developers, contractors, importers, manufacturers and distributors.

TRADA Technology Commercial Manager Mark Salt said, "The BM TRADA Q-Mark scheme for fire doors has enjoyed rapid growth in the Middle East. One of the main drivers was the decision by Dubai Civil Defence to make third-party certification a requirement.

"The Q-Mark has subsequently gained recognition across the Gulf region as authorities, government agencies and developers perceive the benefits that this internationally recognised mark can bring. There is scope to develop this for other construction products and at such a prestigious show we will be able to forge links with potential industry partners."
