Pasquill, the UK manufacturer of engineered timber, has opened a new design and production centre in Hebburn, South Tyneside.
A total of 10 jobs have been transferred from a Pasquill site in Hartlepool to the new Hebburn site, which started operating last week.
The base will serve new and existing customers across the North East England and there are hopes the firm could create another 10 jobs, as the business continues to grow.
A company spokesman said the Hebburn site boasts superior facilities, boosting operating efficiency, enhancing productivity and extending its product range.
