New introductory standards briefings for TRADA Members

TRADA are to introduce a new briefing service for members to help them keep abreast of regulatory and other changes through ‘timely and succinct summaries’.

Rupert Scott, Regulations, Codes and Standards Consultant, of TRADA, warned that building regulations and codes are changing at “a rate, volume and significance greater than ever before.”

He added: “Without being fully up to speed with all the key changes and proposals we cannot make the most of our opportunities and deal with the threats that they inevitably bring.” 

The new service will involve delivering regular briefings to members as part of their membership benefits package via its website and regular e-newsletter.

Scott said: “Because people are completely overloaded with information, our members want to receive short briefings to tell them only those things that they need to know.”

The service will focus on initially on the England & Wales Building Regulations, with the regulations for Scotland and Northern Island, addressed at a later point.
