Kingspan closes timber frame factory

Building materials group Kingspan is closing down a timber frame housing factory in Wales.

Staff at the plant in Tredegar were informed of the decision to close down the plant in recent days as the company consolidates its production into plants in England. Some 59 jobs will be lost in the closure.

The move comes in response to the current slowdown in the UK house building market, which is shaping up to be the worst in living memory. The company will consolidate its operations at its three other sites, in Milton Keynes, Dewsbury and Gransden.”
