Interest rates kept at 0.5%

The Bank of England kept interest rates at a record-low of 0.5% today, a decision which was no surprise.

The interest will come when the minutes of the meeting are published as they may conceals a vigorous debate about whether the UK is at greater risk from slow growth or high inflation.
