Green Building Store launches new eco options for timber windows.

Green Building Store is establishing itself as the sustainable window specialist with its launch at Ecobuild 2008 of two new products.

The new Ecocontract range of FSC timber windows is being introduced to offer a cost-effective and sustainable option for larger scale projects. It is ideal for housing associations and developers trying to meet Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM criteria.

AccoyaTM timber is being introduced as an option in its Ecoplus and Ecocontract ranges. AccoyaTM is a revolutionary new timber product manufactured using a non-toxic wood acetylisation process, which results in a high performance product with 60year minimum life expectancy.

Green Building Store's three window ranges - Ecoplus, Ecoclad and the new Ecocontract - all use FSC certified timber and have ultra-low U values as standard. However, with the additional eco-options, specifiers now have a wider range of choices.

Timber choices include: FSC 100% redwood, FSC 100% oak and the new FSC Mixed Accoya.

Green Building Store has been at the cutting edge of environmental window design since 1995, when it pioneered the use of boron timber treatments in window manufacture. In 2004 it introduced the first UK manufactured FSC 100% timber windows and in 2007 it launched the first FSC 100% timber/ aluminium composite windows in the UK.

Green Building Store will be exhibiting its new window options at Ecobuild on Stand E162.
